Barrvocating

Sun Jun 29, 2008 at 07:25:30 AM PDT

The reasons why we should advocate on Barr’s behalf are obvious and compelling:
• Disguised as Democrats, Republicans trolled with a vengeance on Hillary’s behalf (led by goon’s such as Rush Limbaugh)
• Posing as pro-Hillary dead-enders, they’re still causing mischief on the internets via  blogs and comment threads
• Bob Barr’s success is directly related to Obama’s
• The magic of seeing Obama’s head, on CNN’s election night coverage, juxtaposed with the state of Georgia and a big blue checkmark
• Ralph Nadar

How to Barrvocate across the fold...

Find a thread on the internets that’s relevant to the issue you want to post about (see list of target sites at the end of this thread) or start a thread on a current, salient topic. After you’ve found yourself a topic and studied up on Barr's positions (see http://www.bobbarr2008.com/... , make yourself at home and post away (but don’t spam). Whatever you do, don’t give up the gig by engaging in troll-like behavior--stay focused on the issue at hand, avoid inciting flames and treat the other posters with the same respect you’d give a fellow Kossack.

For your Barrvocating reference
The quickest way to arm yourself on the issues is to visit the candidates site (http://www.bobbarr2008.com/issues/ . You’ll find that some issues are easy to engage on Barr’s behalf, as he agrees with us and differs from his former party on critical one’s such as the Patriot Act (on Fox’s Sunday News show he expressed regret for  both votes), the Iraqi war (again, more regrets) and an out-of-control Washington.

Of course, if you can’t hold the vomit back long enough to visit sites like Little Green Footballs, you can also Barrvocate without posting. If you have a few extra dollars after maxing out your donations to Obama, other Dems [update] and the DNC, why not send them his way? It was frustrating watching the Republicans prop up Nadar in the past, so, in addition to benefiting our candidate, returning the favor could provide a little catharsis: https://www.bobbarr2008.com/...
