"Stimulus" Money Obama 08 Will Receive? (downticket/double-post update)

Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 05:22:05 AM PDT

You've probably heard that rebate money is imminent, and, while gratifying in the short term, it's a not-so-welcome reminder of how if'd up our situation has become.

Nonetheless, I know many of you, like me, are eagerly awaiting your George Bush reparations, so you can donate more of your money (on Soros's behalf, of course) to Obama’s campaign. It's ironic, as I'm certain that's not where Bush wants us to spend it, but I think he will ultimately be pleased with the results (even if it is from his holding cell at the Hague).

And while, on a base level, I will send Obama ‘08 part of my rebate check out of spite (and not just a little bitterness), I am confident in its value as a long-term investment in America's future.

In the event any of you lucky muggers have already received your stimulating rebates, you can help turn our economy around here: https://donate.barackobama.com/...

Update
MT in Austin wisely noted that we need money for downticket candidates and also graciously called me out for my double-post:

Don't for get down-ticket as well... (0+ / 0-)
Barack is doing well on campaign cash. That doesn't mean he can't use more but don't forget the DNC and down-ticket races, especially in your own districts.
I would love to see Obama take office along with a super-majority in congress. He's going to need it to make the changes we need to get the country back on track.

At least two people have blog on this recently.
Good idea and, I think, a great investment.
