Obama to Gen. Clark: I got your back! (Updated xMany)

Tue Jul 01, 2008 at 02:11:22 PM PDT

From The Page:

The Senator says his call Monday for supporters to avoid denigrating military service was not a reference to Wesley Clark’s comment about McCain. "I think in at least one publication it was reported that my comments yesterday about Senator McCain were in a response to General Clark. I think my staff will confirm that was in a draft of that speech that I had written two months ago."

Also says Clark does not owe McCain an apology...McCain campaign accuses Obama of repudiating his own repudiation, and says, "Apparently Barack Obama now thinks that smear attacks on John McCain’s military service are fair game."

Barrvocating

Sun Jun 29, 2008 at 07:25:30 AM PDT

The reasons why we should advocate on Barr’s behalf are obvious and compelling:
• Disguised as Democrats, Republicans trolled with a vengeance on Hillary’s behalf (led by goon’s such as Rush Limbaugh)
• Posing as pro-Hillary dead-enders, they’re still causing mischief on the internets via  blogs and comment threads
• Bob Barr’s success is directly related to Obama’s
• The magic of seeing Obama’s head, on CNN’s election night coverage, juxtaposed with the state of Georgia and a big blue checkmark
• Ralph Nadar

How to Barrvocate across the fold...

SNL Turns on Hillary & Her "White People Love Me" Shtick (Updated)

Sun May 11, 2008 at 03:58:58 AM PDT

The following is a clip of last night's introduction. It was especially cathartic after having to squirm through Hillary's pimping of SNL during the debate. I think the lesson for Hillary on this one is: don't pimp SNL.

The above clip runs the gamut.

Every vote counts!

Dear Hillary Clinton:

First, I need to know, how did you get this e-mail address? And who gave you my phone number? For the love of Allah, please stop harassing me!

For the record, I am not a low-information voter, so this BS doesn't fly with me. I lived in Florida during the illegitimate primary. There was no contest for the nomination, and everyone knew the votes wouldn’t count (hence my move to PA). We both know that had Obama campaigned there, he would have closed up your lead. And Michigan? I'm not even going to dignify that one with a response.

If, as it seems, this is a desperate ploy to catch Obama’s massive lead in the popular vote, I must advise you, since your million dollar consultants apparently didn’t clue you in, this is a delegate race; you are wasting your time peddling this scam. Also, of course, we can't ignore the hypocrisy that this specious argument reeks of--you are seeking to disenfranchise the caucus states. I realize you believe this pitiful argument might sway some superdelegates, but, again, they are also high-information voters.

"Stimulus" Money Obama 08 Will Receive? (downticket/double-post update)

Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 05:22:05 AM PDT

You've probably heard that rebate money is imminent, and, while gratifying in the short term, it's a not-so-welcome reminder of how if'd up our situation has become.

Nonetheless, I know many of you, like me, are eagerly awaiting your George Bush reparations, so you can donate more of your money (on Soros's behalf, of course) to Obama’s campaign. It's ironic, as I'm certain that's not where Bush wants us to spend it, but I think he will ultimately be pleased with the results (even if it is from his holding cell at the Hague).

And while, on a base level, I will send Obama ‘08 part of my rebate check out of spite (and not just a little bitterness), I am confident in its value as a long-term investment in America's future.

In the event any of you lucky muggers have already received your stimulating rebates, you can help turn our economy around here: https://donate.barackobama.com/...

Chris Mathews 2.0 (R, PA)

Thu Apr 24, 2008 at 03:11:14 PM PDT

Once upon a time, Obama's oratory sent tingles of Chris Mathew's leg(s). Like many of us, his inner democrat was deeply moved by the refreshingly different approach Obama brings to our sully politics. This guy could be another Kennedy, he would chime.

Recently, though, his adoration has evaporated. Usually a minimally thoughtful, if commercial-driven boob, he’s devolved, as he’s been seemingly swept by the mob-like media hysteria known as "bittergate." Even more than the rest of the MSM, for Mathews, it seems deeply personal. Although 99% percent of Americans were unimpressed by the alleged offensiveness of those remarks (taken out of context or not), Chris Mathews is tenaciously gripping his bitterness. Today, while most of the roaring mob has slithered back to FOX, he even expanded his hurt to cover "G-d damn America Gate."

Loose paraphrase:

How dare Reverend Wright explain his side to Bill Moyers?!  Who gave him permission to speak? And to his uppity friend, Barack, who once lit my proverbial fire: shame on you, Barack Obama!

So whats changed?

Action: Call on media to report the actual outcome! (updated 2x)

Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 04:38:05 AM PDT

Don't let Hillary spin this as a double digit win: http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/ !

You can start your efforts by contacting WHYY (Philly public radio, talkback@whyy.org), which, surprisingly or not, is promoting the double-digit win BS. But, of course, the rest of the media will need your help to perform their job as well.

I'm really sorry this is a woefully lacking diary, but, I am at work and can't give it the attention it deserves. Plus, I figured someone would've posted this by now. If anyone would like to replace this post with a more substantive one, please do.

Sat Apr 12, 2008 at 10:18:59 PM PDT

As a resident of a small town in PA, I can verify that Obama's in touch alright....

To Whom It May Concern:

We live in small towns and rural areas throughout Pennsylvania and we support Barack Obama for President.
